Extremely dangerous hurricane Michael went ashore in the state of Florida in the Penhandle area with potentially catastrophic winds.

According to the National Hurricane Center, Michael went to land near Mexico Beach at about 13: 30 with maximum steady 155 winds mph (250 km / h)

Thousands of people were left without electricity in Penhandle, as warned by the National Weather Service.

Over 375, 000 people, up and down the coast of the Gulf, received evacuation warnings as soon as the tropical storm Michael's trajectory was formed, which in 72 hours turned into a 4 hurricane category.

“I’m really afraid of what will happen tomorrow,” wrote Colorado hurricane expert Colorado state expert in an e-mail.

“This is the worst storm the Panhandle has seen in more than a century,” Florida Gov. Rick Scott tweeted.

In St. Marks, John Hargan and his family gathered their pets and were evacuated to the erected building, built to withstand the 5 category hurricane after water from the St. Marks began to surround their home. His 11-year-old son, Jayden, walking on water, carried one of the family’s dogs in a laundry basket in one hand and held a skateboard in the other.

Gargan, a bartender in a restaurant on the river bank, feared that he would be homeless and without work due to a hurricane.

Michael turned out to be so powerful that he would retain his strength while driving through the state of Georgia on Thursday. Meteorologists warn that it will carry a destructive wind and rain all the way to Carolina, which is still recovering from an epic flood after Hurricane Florence.
