Ukrainian nominated for the most prestigious American television award

Ukrainian producer Victoria Butenko hit the short list of the most prestigious US television award "Emmi", reports official website of the award. She was nominated by CNN for her work on the project “Ukraine: shooting on Independence Square”.

Victoria is also known as a producer of a journalist and photojournalist for the Los Angeles Times US edition, Sergey Loiko, the only foreign correspondent who spent four days at the Donetsk airport and made a cyborgs photo gallery.

A total of thirty-sixth annual award in the field of news and documentary nominated several materials about Ukraine channels NBC, PBS and Vice News. The award ceremony will take place on September 28 in New York. "Emmys" is considered the television equivalent of "Oscar" (for the movie), the Grammy Awards (for music). Produce awards in New York, in the same company where they make an Oscar.
