United Airlines, departing from New Jersey, has detached chassis
A United Airlines plane en route from New Jersey to Oregon had its landing gear torn off during takeoff, writes: Fox News.
Flight 1551, departing from Newark Liberty International Airport, landed successfully at Portland International Airport around 10: 30 local time. No reports of injured passengers were reported.
One of the passengers, on anonymity, said Fox 12 Oregonthat during take-off he heard a loud bang. According to him, the staff United Airlines worked professionally, and there was no panic on board.
KATU-TV reports that the rescuers were waiting for the plane in Portland, ready to provide the necessary assistance at any time.
