Trump threatened to close the border with Mexico because of a caravan of migrants

US President Donald Trump threatens to close the border with Mexico if this country allows a convoy of migrants from Central America to pass through its territory to the American border.

The migrant caravan has already grown to 4000 people and plans to get to the United States through the territory of Mexico, writes TJ.

The president expressed his dissatisfaction in a series of tweets and demanded that the Mexican government take the necessary measures because he considers the caravan of migrants a threat to the United States.

"I’m watching the Democratic Party head (because they want to open borders) an attack on our country from Guatemala, Honduras and El Salvador, whose leaders do little to stop this large flow of people, including many criminals, from entering Mexico and USA. The attack on our country on the southern border, including criminal elements and drugs, is much more important for me as President than trade or USMCA. I hope Mexico will stop this onslaught on its borders. All Democrats are to blame for weak laws!”, wrote Trump

The Mexican government stated that it intends to deport people who illegally try to enter the country and do not have the right to apply for asylum, but those who have a legal right to stay in Mexico will not be stopped by the authorities.

Caravans of migrants from Latin American countries went to the United States before, but many thousands of them became only in 2018 year.

Because of the April caravan of migrants, Trump ordered the US National Guard to be stationed on the southwest border of the country. Currently, American troops are stationed on the border with Mexico, and National Guard representatives from Texas, Arizona, New Mexico and California are working on border security.

At the same time, a group of thousands of migrants, which was heading for the US border in April 2018, eventually split up, and several hundred people reached the American border.

In October migrant caravan left Honduras and initially consisted of approximately 2 thousand people, now their number has increased to an estimated 4 thousand.
