Trump called immigration to renew DACA

US President Donald Trump said he would not consider restoring the DACA immigration program, which would protect young people from being deported without assurances from Democrats to support their intention to build a wall on the border with Mexico and stop some immigration programs.

According to ReutersIn September, Trump canceled the DACA program, which protected migrants who have fallen into the US by children, and by the end of March gave Congress time to develop an action plan.

Democrats insisted that Trump reinstate the DACA program, but the president said he would not do this until the various visa programs were canceled and a wall was built along the southern US border.

«Демократы не раз слышали и в полной мере понимают, что осуществить программу защиты детей-иммигрантов DACA невозможно без постройки остро необходимой на южной границе стены, а также без прекращения неконтролируемой цепной миграции и отмены нелепой системы визовой лотереи», — написал Трамп в Twitter.

Democrats Chuck Schumer and Nancy Pelosi declined to comment on the president’s statements, but they hope for serious negotiations on this issue after lawmakers return to work in Washington early next month.

The Senate intends to resume work on January 3, and the House of Representatives - January 8.

Recall the construction of the wall on the border with Mexico - this is one of the election promises of Trump.
