The United States began to supply Ukraine with new border control systems. The founder of the American company Aeroscraft and a native of Ukraine, Igor Pasternak, take part in the transfer.

Today he took part in the press conference “US Military Assistance to Ukraine: State of Affairs and Prospects.”

Border control systems are designed, in particular, to monitor the movement of the enemy’s equipment and identify it, and allow for round-the-clock monitoring of the situation at the border.

The conference was started by member of the US Congress Loretta Sanchez.

She emphasized: “President Obama recently signed the US budget, and we saw an increase in allocations for NATO... And Ukraine is receiving direct financial assistance. We already provide certain assistance, such as training the military, training military trainers so that Ukraine can develop itself, we help with technology... Yesterday I met with representatives of the California National Guard and agreed that they will continue to cooperate, trainers will come, we will change the educational process so that it is aimed at meeting the further needs of Ukraine... We saw that Ukraine itself is doing a lot . We can help with certain defensive technologies."

She also added: “Sometimes it is believed that the United States pays little attention to Ukraine, but I want to assure that we in Congress are constantly monitoring what is happening in Ukraine and will not leave Putin unattended.”

General Director of Ukroboronprom Roman Romanov said that negotiations with American partners lasted six months, but “concrete foundations for these systems are already being installed at the border... The work is taking place in three stages. The first is that this stage has already been implemented today. The second stage is assembly production. The third stage is the full transfer of production to Ukraine... For me, this speaks of the competence that our scientists and engineers will receive, and the work that our technicians will receive. “This will all come back in the form of taxes and fees back to the budget.”

Romanov also noted that the work of Ukroboronprom with Igor Pasternak’s company is precisely “the transfer of technologies for the production of highly efficient systems that will help us... in a completely new area for us, we will unite a number of industrial sites... to test such systems, which have not yet been in service."

Igor Pasternak outlined in detail the prospects and timing for the transfer of the latest long-range tracking and detection systems to the Ukrainian border service. “Ukraine is our American security. It is very important. The delivery that was just discussed has practically taken place. This is the beginning... Here [in Ukraine] we saw more than just potential or a partner.”
