Trump's adviser came to Moscow

Advisor to the elected President of the United States, Donald Trump, Carter Page, arrived in Moscow, in the Russian capital he has scheduled a series of negotiations, the Russian state news agency reported.RIA News».

“I will meet with influential business people and thought leaders,” Page said.

Trump's adviser also added that he would stay in Moscow until December 13.

Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov later said that diplomats did not plan to meet with Carter Page.

Previously, Page said that the administration of the President-elect of the United States needs people who believe in the potential of Russian-American relations. According to him, the dialogue between the countries is impossible without confidence in the Russian leader Vladimir Putin.

Carter Page in the past worked in Moscow in the branch of the investment bank Merrill Lynch. In July, the American media, talking about Trump's adviser’s trip to Moscow, drew particular attention to the fact that in a speech to students and journalists he criticized American policy toward Russia. At the same time, the US intelligence agencies confirmed that they were monitoring Page.

Following the November 8 election results, Russian President Vladimir Putin hopes for the normalization of Russian-American relations, which are in the stage of "unpredictable conflict." After the elections, Trump and Putin have already managed to talk by phone and discuss the further development of relations between Russia and the United States.
