Russian biker canceled a visa in Germany and expelled from the country

Yuri Vasiliev, a member of the Russian bike club “Night Wolves”, detained in Germany, had his visa revoked on Tuesday morning, and the man went back to Finland, a representative of the federal police press service said.

“If we are talking about the person who came from Finland by ferry, then this morning at the beginning of four he voluntarily went back to Finland by ferry,” the agency’s interlocutor said.

According to him, as was previously reported, no deportation is being discussed.

“No, he was not allowed to enter, and because he was not allowed to cross the border into Germany, he went back. His visa was cancelled,” a police official said.

Earlier, the press service of the motorcycle club reported that Vasilyev was detained on Sunday after arriving at the port of Travemünde from Finland under the pretext of “a discrepancy between the actual purpose of his visit and the purpose indicated on the visa.”

“Night Wolves” decided to celebrate the 70th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War with a motorcycle rally from Moscow to Berlin. The bikers made a route: Moscow, Minsk, Brest, Wroclaw, Brno, Bratislava, Vienna, Munich, Prague, Torgau, Berlin. However, Polish border guards refused to allow the participants of the race to enter the country. The Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs demanded an explanation from the Polish authorities in connection with the refusal of bikers to enter Poland. Some bikers were not allowed into Germany, their visas were revoked.

Several Russian bikers from a motorcycle club managed to cross the border into Germany on Sunday. A small group of "about ten people" entered the town of Bad Reichenhall, located on the German-Austrian border, on Sunday evening.
