Russian officials want to ban fly foreign airlines
The Ministry of Labor of the Russian Federation has proposed to prohibit Russian officials from using the services of foreign air carriers for business trips. The draft of the relevant resolution has been published for public discussion on the single portal of legal acts.
If the document comes into force, then officials will not be able to buy tickets for business trips for flights of foreign airlines and will be forced to limit themselves to the services of Russian air carriers.
At the same time, the draft resolution provides for exceptions to this rule. In particular, the services of foreign airlines can be used if Russian carriers do not operate flights to the place where the official should fly on a business trip.
The explanatory note to the document specifies that its task is to increase the competitiveness of Russian airlines. At the same time, these restrictions will not affect the private travel of officials.
