'Turn around!': Trump issued a tough warning to migrants
The President of the United States said that the military at the border are ready to repel the approaching caravans.
The United States will not allow migrants from Central America, approaching the southern border as part of the so-called caravan, to enter the country. This was announced on Twitter by US President Donald Trump.
“Our military is mobilized on the southern border. A large number of additional forces are on the way. We will not allow these caravans, which include terrible criminals and bandits, to enter the United States. Our border is inviolable, you can only cross it legally. Turn around!” – he wrote.
“They (the migrants - Ed.) gave Mexico a tough fight on the northern border before breaking through. "Mexican soldiers were hurt and they were unable or unwilling to stop the caravan," Trump added.
Earlier it became known, the Pentagon will send 5 additional thousands of military to the US border with Mexico. This is a significant increase in the military contingent guarding the border - last week it was about 800 soldiers who would be additionally sent to the south of the country due to the approach of a caravan of migrants. According to the WSJ, around 7000 people are already moving across Mexico to the US border.
Thousands of people from Honduras, El Salvador, Guatemala and Mexico are heading for the United States in the hope of getting into the country. Local authorities did not stop the flow of people, and American President Donald Trump promised to deprive these countries of financial assistance.
Earlier, trump said in an interview with Axios that planning to sign an executive order to end the practice of allowing children of non-American citizens who are born in the United States to obtain American citizenship.
