Putin ordered to check the readiness of Moscow for war

On the order of Putin to conduct a surprise check of the Central Military District during a meeting in the leadership of the Ministry of Defense, said the head of the department Sergei Shoigu.

The district troops, part of the aviation of other districts, as well as parts of the military landing troops and military transport aviation were brought to full alert in 9: 30 in the morning (Moscow time). “We need to check in the period from 7 to September 12,” said Shoigu.

On the first day of the inspection, attention will be paid to the temporary standards and the ability of the troops to "carry out measures of the established degree of combat readiness." Later, they will conduct exercises at the test sites, where they will check the readiness of the military assault troops for long-range deployment and disembarkation in unfamiliar territory.

During the exercise, the ability of the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Agriculture, the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Federal Medical-Biological Agency, the Russian Fishery Agency and the Federal Reserve Agency to work in military conditions will also be tested. In addition, it is planned to test readiness for work in wartime conditions for the leadership of a number of subjects of the Federation - Novosibirsk, Samara, Chelyabinsk regions and Bashkiria.

Shoigu instructed his deputy, Anatoly Antonov, to inform the military attaches of foreign countries about the exercises.

Last year, more than 3,5 thousands of military exercises of various levels were conducted in Russia. In 2015, during the operational exercises of the Union-2015 shield (joint with the Belarusian army) and the Center-2015 strategic exercises, it is planned to check the combat readiness of all military districts, types and types of troops.
