Florida police filmed a video of how a mother discovered a child who was forgotten in a car

In Orange City, Florida, a tragedy almost occurred, which was prevented by a passerby. A woman noticed that a small child was sitting in the back seat of a car parked. The mother who returned in half an hour was shocked when she realized what had happened.

In the Volusiya County Sheriff's office, an eight-month-old boy was discovered around 3: 15 PM in a closed car, reports Fox News. In a video that sheriff Mike Chitwood has posted on his Twitter account, he called Jessica Kaiser a good Samaritan woman who helped avoid a catastrophe.

The boy was found in the car "in good health and spirits," police said, and then spent several minutes searching for the adult responsible for the child. The baby's mother, 33-year-old Megan Burgess, returned to the car 24 minutes after 911 was called.

A police officer's personal camera captured the moment a woman realizes she left her child in a locked car. According to the mother, she forgot that the baby was in the car because she left the other children with a family member. The woman added that leaving her child in the car is her “worst fear.”

In the 911 recording, a pedestrian’s husband can tell the dispatcher about the child locked in the car.

“There’s a child in the car. We just opened the door, but we don't know where the adults are. The child is sitting in a car seat. We opened the door so that at least some air could get into the car,” the man said.

Burgess was charged with neglect of the child and appeared in court on Wednesday. The judge said that she would be released without bail, but as long as the investigation continues, she will not be allowed to contact her eight-month-old son.
