Pentagon will give $ 200 million for the Ukrainian army
The US military indicates that aid is non-lethal.
The Pentagon announced the allocation of assistance to Ukraine in the amount of 200 million dollars to strengthen its defense capabilities.
The US Department of Defense stressed that these funds will be used to improve the system of military training, the purchase of equipment and military equipment, as well as go to the provision of military services. All military assistance provided under this package is non-lethal.
The Pentagon added that the timing of assistance will be determined later.
Thus, since 2014, Ukraine has received more than 1 billion US aid designed to ensure its security.
The Pentagon noted that Ukraine is carrying out reforms to ensure that its armed forces meet NATO standards, which “will increase Ukraine’s capabilities in protecting its territorial integrity.”
Recall, in May, the Ukrainian military for the first time tested the American anti-tank complexes Javelin. The US authorities sold Ukraine anti-tank weapons for $ 47 million.
