Poll: Trump beats Republicans, but not Clinton

If US elections were held in December 2015, Donald Trump would be able to outrun his two closest Republican rivals, Ted Cruz and Marco Rubio, but would have given way to Democratic Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton.

This is evidenced by the results of a survey conducted Reuters/ Ipsos.

If construction magnate Trump and Texas senator Cruz were to face each other in the GOP primary, Trump would receive 41% of the vote and Cruz would receive 31%. At the same time, 28% of respondents said that they would not vote if they had to choose between these two candidates.

In a confrontation with Florida senator Marco Rubio, Trump could get 40% of votes, while 34% of respondents would vote for his opponent. 27% of respondents in this situation would not vote.

Despite the fact that Trump leads among the Republican candidates, the poll showed that he would not have been able to win Clinton in the general election.

When choosing between these candidates, 40% are ready to support the ex-state secretary, and only 29% of the respondents would have given their vote for the construction magnate.

As the “Forum” wrote, despite its scandalous statements, or precisely because of them, Trump's ranking among Republicans continues to rise.
