The network is gaining popularity with videos in which professional makeup artists show how smoking affects a person's appearance.

The popular portal BuzzFeed, together with makeup artists, as well as the director of the nicotine addiction treatment center at the American Mayo Clinic, Dr. Taylor Hayes, created a video in which three smokers took part. Makeup artists showed the participants of the experiment what they would look like in 20-30 years, if they could not overcome the habit, writes Business Insider.

“Smoking has the most negative impact on our skin. In particular, there are deep wrinkles, changing complexion. Also, smoking has a negative effect on oral health and, of course, on internal organs, ”says Dr. Hayes.

One of the participants in the experiment admitted that he was shocked by his transformation and seriously thought about the dangers of smoking:

“If my appearance changes so much, then I’m even afraid to imagine what happens to me inside and how smoking affects my body as a whole,” he said.

A video posted on YouTube has been watched by more than 1,3 million users.
