John Kerry: Critics are 'nitpicking' when they blame Obama for missing Paris march
Sunday took place in Paris march against terrorism. More than a million citizens and about 40 world leaders took part in this large-scale demonstration. Critics are haunted by the fact that US President Barack Obama was among the politicians absent from the march, but Secretary of State John Kerry says they are simply "nitpicking".
John Kerry called criticism that U.S. officials were absent from the demonstration “nitpicking” because some U.S. officials were there, including “our Assistant Secretary of State Victoria Nuland was there and participated in the march, The ambassador [of France Jane Hartley] was there and participated in the march, many people from the embassy were there."
Note that, according to Fox News, Nuland participated in the march in Washington.
Meanwhile, Kerry is going to visit Paris this Thursday. According to him, he immediately planned the trip as soon as he learned about the demonstration, wrote AmericaRu.com
