The White House called the only agreement between Putin and Trump

Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump during the conversation in the capital of Finland reached only one agreement, press secretary for the American President Sarah Sanders reported at a briefing for journalists at the White House, writes RBC. According to her, the heads of two states agreed on the further joint work of the staff responsible for national security.

In this regard, Sanders announced that in August, John Bolton, an adviser to the American president on national security, would meet with her “Russian counterpart.” Who exactly will talk representative Trump, she did not specify. Also, Sanders did not explain exactly where the negotiations will take place.

Bolton was present at Putin’s meeting with Trump when they communicated in an extended format. In addition, he came to Moscow on the eve of the summit in the capital of Finland.

Since during the meeting in Helsinki, Putin and Trump talked face-to-face for about an hour and a half, many American politicians wondered if they had reached agreements except for those that were announced at a press conference following the meeting. . Earlier it became known that Russia and the United States agreed to discuss the humanitarian situation in Syria and the return of refugees to the country.

Also, there was information that the Russian president suggested to Trump to think about holding a referendum in the Donbass. Commenting on this question, the official representative of the US State Department, Heather Nauert, pointed out that such a referendum would be illegitimate, since it would be held on the territory that is not under the control of the Ukrainian government.
