American received a term in the Russian colony for trying to sell a post in Moscow

In Moscow, a US citizen who tried to sell an appointment to a senior position in Rosrybolovstvo for seven million dollars was sentenced to three years in prison. He writes about this “Lenta.ru report"with a link to the website of the Moscow prosecutor's office.

In 2016, the American George Hager, along with three Russians, learned about the desire of the capital’s resident to get a job in Rosrybolovstvo. They assured the applicant that they had extensive contacts with high-ranking employees of the institution, and offered to assist in his appointment to a high position.

From April to May of the same year, they received a part of the reward from the applicant - 300 thousand dollars. "Kommersant" wrote that Hager and the Russians offered the position in the Federal Agency for Fishery to the businessman, who, after transferring part of the money, applied to the FSB. Hager was detained and arrested, his accomplices were later detained. They received from three and a half to four years in prison.
