Putin approved Russian Disneyland for $ 4 billion
“We chose a good location between the road, railway and near the airport,” the governor noted.
“The most important thing is that there is a very good strip there, and we have reserved our state lands,” he clarified. “We have already signed an investment agreement with the company and allocated 220 hectares.”
The head of the region emphasized that the project is viable, since the tourist flow in the region is growing: in three years the number of tourists has increased 2,5 times - to 2,5 million people.
The Magic World of Russia complex consists of several theme parks, including one where children can engage in interactive educational programs. Hotels and the world's largest water park will be built on the territory of the complex.
“That is, you can spend almost your entire vacation in this complex, learn a lot about Russia and what is in the world,” Artamonov emphasized.
One of the parts of the complex will be dedicated to St. Petersburg. “From the Admiralty to Senate Square, Nevsky Prospekt and everything that is in St. Petersburg, but under a roof,” the governor explained.
Artamonov told the president that “the cost of this project is estimated at $4 billion.”
“Moreover, investors are not asking us for government participation, they would just like to be sure that this project is approved,” he clarified. “For our part, of course, we approved it.” And if you support them, they will have more confidence.”
“Of course, with pleasure,” the Russian President noted.
