A polite request ended with two wounded in the subway of New York

What many consider the usual politeness in the subway, led to knife wounds in Manhattan, where two men fought on Tuesday, July 30.

Police say the 55-year-old was driving south on train A in lower Manhattan and asked the 40-year-old fellow traveler to remove the bag from the seat so he can sit down. The seated man refused, which provoked a fight.

Then he stabbed an elderly man in the stomach with a knife for cleaning vegetables, police said.
The suspect tried to run away when another man began to pursue him and was stabbed in the hand.

According to police, the 40-year-old man was arrested and detained.

Two victims were taken to Bellevue Hospital with injuries that are not life threatening.
