In Oregon, a woman found a lion sleeping behind a sofa in her house
Returning home on July 8, Ashland, Oregon resident Lauren Taylor discovered an unexpected visitor: a mountain lion was sleeping in her home, hidden behind the couch.
The woman shared the story about her experiences on her social network page. Facebook.
A woman assumes that a wild cat entered the house through an unlocked back door after drinking water from a pond in the backyard.
“The door was open and there were huge plants in the room and a staircase made from real tree branches, so the lion probably didn’t even realize he was entering an enclosed space,” Lauren noted.
Entering the house, the animal was frightened by the cry of its neighbor Taylor, who shouted when he saw a mountain lion in the house. This prompted the cat to hide behind the couch, where she fell asleep for several hours.
When she saw the guest called, Taylor began to make noise to wake the lion, but then, according to the woman, "looked into his eyes affectionately and started talking to him, blinking feline to calm him down."
“I was surprised to realize that it worked. I looked at the lion lovingly and then blinked hard and the cat went back to sleep. She clearly felt safe and had no desire to leave,” the woman wrote.
When the lion woke up a second time, Taylor said that she "reestablished contact with a gentle glance and communicated using blinking."
In the end, Taylor decided it was time to "get the lion to leave, without disturbing him so much that he panicked."
As a result, the woman used the drum to wake the lion and force him to leave the house.
“He woke up and knew what to do ... he left through the open door, through the yard, the creek and through the empty field behind our house,” Taylor said, adding that she has “a lot of experience with energy and animals.”
The woman called the event a “wonderful meeting.”
Her Facebook post was shared over 23 thousands of times.
