Heat returns to California

Despite the fall, “Indian Summer” comes to southern California, writes LA Times.

According to meteorologist David Sweet from the National Meteorological Service in Oxnard, warm gusts of wind from the northeast and from Nevada will affect temperatures throughout Southern California.

“This has been happening in the fall for years,” he said. “We call this phenomenon late summer.”

Meteorologists recommend that people drink plenty of fluids and spend less time in the sun at lunch. Due to the dry weather, the danger of fires increases.

Inspector Joe Marin of the Los Angeles County Fire Department said the agency is stationary.

“We don’t expect anything unusual,” he said. — It's a normal week in California. We have fire season throughout the summer. L.A. County is always ready."
