“The issue of individual prohibitive measures is on the agenda of the upcoming ministerial meeting,” the TASS news agency quoted him as saying. The diplomat explained that, depending on the developments in the current diplomatic efforts launched by Germany and France in recent days, EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Federica Mogherini will invite the ministers to discuss these issues.

“If the development of the next few days will show deterioration on the ground, a discussion may arise about further measures that will be economic,” Interfax quotes the EU diplomat.

The representative of the EU noted that the issue of new EU economic sanctions could be submitted to the informal summit of EU Heads of State and Government 12 February. He explained that decisions on economic sanctions are taken by heads of state and government.
