USCIS Simplifies Immigrant Application Process
The United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) no longer requires completing the G-325A (Applicant’s biographical information) form when applying for certain benefits for immigrants.
Corresponding changes have been made to the USCIS Policy Guide, the ministry said.
Previously, the Service required applicants wishing to receive certain immigration benefits to file with the application or petition also the form G-325A. Now, the Office has included all versions of the G-325A form on the USCIS forms for benefits if an application for an immigrant’s biographical data is required for applying for them. This simplifies the process of applying for benefits.
The G-325A form is now used only for deferred action requests for certain draftees and family members of military personnel, veterans and draftees. Therefore, USCIS has renamed this form to “Form G-325A, biographical information (for deferred actions)”.
In the updated departmental guide, all references to the G-325A form in the sections regarding benefits are removed.
Stakeholders can view and comment on changes made to the Guide until 7 November 2018. More information about this update can be obtained by link.
