“SuperSubbot” was unlucky for leaders of the presidential race
The votes were divided during the voting in the “super-Sabbath”, 5 March.
Among the contenders from the Republican Party, leading positions are held by billionaire Donald Trump and Senator Ted Cruz, writes CNN.
The first received the support of voters in Louisiana and Kentucky, Cruise was supported by residents of Maine and Kansas.
The Democratic Party's preferences were also divided: Louisiana supported former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, while voters in Nebraska and Kansas voted for the majority of votes from Vermont state sender Bernie Sanders.
One of the reasons why Trump lost votes in these primaries could be his ignoring the Conservative Political Action Conference, which took place on March 5 near Washington. The most controversial Republican candidate was scheduled to speak there, but the day before the event, the Trump campaign announced that he would not attend the event.
This angered many Republicans, who said they were more willing to support Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton than Donald Trump’s party supporter.
According to the results of the voting, candidates Marco Rubio and John Casic have minimal chances for nomination by the Republican Party. The last chance for both will be the primaries in Ohio (Kassich's native state) and Florida (Rubio's own state), which will take place on March 15. If they do not get the championship even in their states, then it would be illogical to count on victory in others.
According to polls, Trump leads the way in Florida. At one of the meetings with voters, he even made those present swear that they would vote for him in the upcoming primaries, reports The Hill.
During his speech in the city of Orlando (Fla.), The billionaire urged all those present to raise his right hand and swear that they would vote for him on March 15.
“Don't forget that you raised your hand. You swore. Bad things happen to those who don't keep their promises after something like this," Trump said.
Among Democrats, the Clinton-Sanders confrontation is escalating. In this case, the former First Lady is popular among young people and, despite losing in Kansas and Nebraska, retains leadership positions on the overall results of the vote.
