United States expanded sanctions against Russia

The US administration has expanded the number of companies and individuals in Russia and other countries that are subject to unilateral US sanctions imposed at the time in connection with the events in Ukraine. The relevant information was posted on Friday on the website of the US Treasury, writes TASS.

In the above list, 21 surnames were added, mainly by citizens of Russia and Ukraine, as well as by at least 9 companies.

12 organizations associated with Surgutneftegaz were added to the sanctions lists (Kaliningradnefteprodukt, Kirishinefteorgsintez, Kirishiavtoservis, Novgorodnefteprodukt, Pskovnefteprodukt, Tvernefteprodukt, Media-Invest, Lengiproneftekhim, Surgutneftegazbank ", "State Farm "Chervishevsky", "Insurance Company "Surgutneftegaz" and "Surgutmebel"), the company "Power Machines", a structure of the state corporation "Rostec" "Technopromexport", as well as Deputy Minister of Energy of Russia Andrey Tcherezov.

Sanctions prohibit US citizens from doing business with these people and companies. In addition, those involved in the list are forbidden to enter the United States, and their assets on American territory are frozen.

Recall that at the end of December 2017, the United States have made in the sanctions list are the names of 10 crime bosses from Russia and the countries of the former USSR.

Russia occupied the Crimea in 2014, since then the United States and a number of other countries imposed sanctions against the Kremlin demanding the return of control over the peninsula of Ukraine.
