They tore a mouth and tried to move: in Ukraine, a disabled immigrant was attacked because of the Russian language

According to the wife of the victim Lidia, fellow villagers attacked her husband and demanded to speak Ukrainian.

In the small village of Buymer in Sumy oblast, a migrant miner from Donetsk broke his mouth and was thrown under a car because his family spoke Russian. He writes about it UNIAN with reference to the local television channel TRK ATV.

Vyacheslav Rozhkov, a migrant from Donetsk, who had worked at the mine for more than 20 years and was disabled by the 2 group, was attacked outside the store. According to the wife of the victim Lidia, fellow villagers attacked her husband and demanded to speak Ukrainian.

“They dragged him onto the roadway near the store and started tearing his mouth open. At first there were three of them, and then it turned out that there were nine of them. They put him under the car and wanted to run him over,” she says.

The man managed to escape. He was later taken to the district hospital. The victim was hospitalized with a torn wound of the mouth, doctors called the police.

“Information about the attack was entered into the unified register of statements and messages. An investigative team was sent to the hospital. An investigation is underway,” said Vitaly Razbeiko, deputy head of the Trostyanets police department.

According to another immigrant living in this village, local residents staged outright persecution of those who came from Donbass.

“They are telling us to our face that we are crowded, that we have come in large numbers. Nobody will ever accept you here, live here even for a hundred years, you will still be strangers, because you are Russian, you are not ours,” says the woman.

Lydia Rozhkova now fears pressure from local authorities, as well as the massacre of local residents.
