Five women accuse American journalist of sexual harassment

A writer and journalist who works on MSNBC and in Bloomberg, Mark Halperin was accused of sexual harassment. Immediately five women said that the journalist was molested by him, reports Daily Mail.

As the newspaper notes, three women claim that the journalist forced them to touch their genitals, although he was wearing clothes. Several women said that Halperin touched their breasts and also showed inappropriate behavior.

The alleged actions took place between 1990 and 2000 during the years when Halperin worked at ABC News.

The journalist himself published a statement in which he apologized for inappropriate behavior. However, he refuted the information that he touched women’s breasts and forced them to touch their genitals.

According to him, earlier he did not understand that his behavior was inappropriate and could hurt someone.

“I sincerely apologize. Under these conditions, I am going to temporarily stop working until we figure out the situation, ”said the journalist.

Halperin will temporarily stop performing the duties of MSNBC, where he appeared in the morning program, and will leave the post of analyst on NBC News.

Marc Halperin worked at ABC News until 2007. He served as political director. He also led the airs on Bloomberg TV. Halperin - author of the book Game Change ("The game has changed") about the 2008 presidential race of the year. Subsequently, the book was filmed, the picture received a statue of "Emmy".
