Temperature in New York broke the 17 summer record
According to the National Meteorological Service, the temperature on Thursday, May 3, reached a record level of + 32,7 degrees Celsius (+ 91 Freinheit) in Central Park.
Air temperature in Central Park exceeded the record in + 90 degrees Fahrenheit (+ 32,2 Celsius), set in 2001 year, said NWS meteorologist Karli Bukkola.
The normal temperature at this time of year is + 67 degrees Fahrenheit (+ 19,4 Celsius), and it will take some time before the temperature from the record goes back to the average.
Today, Friday 4 May, the temperature will range from + 30,5 degrees Celsius (+ 87 degrees Fahrenheit) to + 17,2 Celsius (+ 63 Frangate).
On Saturday, May 5, thermometer columns will go down and will show from + 23,8 Celsius (+ 75 Fraenheit) to + 18 Celsius (+ 59 Fraenheit).
The temperature will continue to fall on Sunday: from + 20,5 Celsius (+ 69 Fahrenheit) to + 12,2 Celsius (+ 54 Fahrenheit).
Bukkola said that according to forecasts, warm weather will come next week.
“Temperatures were again around 70 Fahrenheit (21,1 Celsius) on Tuesday. It looks like temperatures will be above normal next week,” she added.
