In his first weekly address as president, Donald Trump spoke about saving jobs in America and the decrees he signed during his first working week at the White House.

“My fellow Americans, a week ago our administration assumed the enormous responsibility that you, the American people, entrusted to us.

There is still a lot of work planned in the coming days, but I would like to give you the latest information about what we have already done.

“In my first few days as your president, I met with leaders of the nation's leading manufacturing companies and labor unions. My message was clear. We want to make products in America, and we want to employ American workers. Since my election, many companies have announced that they are no longer moving jobs out of our country, but instead keeping and creating jobs right here in America.

Every day we fulfill the promises made to the American people. Here are just some of the decrees that I have adopted over the past few days:

• preparing to repeal and replace Obamacare is a matter of time;
• withdrawal from the Trans-Pacific Partnership, which gives us the opportunity to negotiate one on one, and enter into transactions that protect American workers;
• a decree on the commencement of construction of the Keystone and Dakota Access pipeline after re-negotiating the conditions with the requirement that the pipelines installed in America be constructed of American steel produced here;
• a directive to speed up the permit for the creation of new infrastructure and new plants;
• an order to immediately begin erecting a wall and to tighten policies on cities of refuge.

The current administration is working at a record pace. Everyone talks about it. We do it quickly, we do it wisely, and we will never stop fighting on behalf of the American people.
