Clinton has increased the lead over Trump because of voter sympathies - polls
15% more voters are ready to vote for US presidential candidate Hillary Clinton than for her main competitor, Republican nominee Donald Trump.
This is evidenced by data from a survey conducted by the company McClatchy-Marist.
If voters are offered to choose between two main candidates, then the former Secretary of State is ready to support 48% of voters, while 33% of respondents are ready to vote for Trump.
If the survey also includes representatives of third parties taking part in the presidential race, then the breakdown of sympathies is as follows: Clinton - 45%, Trump - 31%, Gary Johnson (Libertarian Party) - 10%, Jill Stein (Green Party) - 6 %.
Clinton leads the way in all social and ethnic groups, including white men who used to support Trump.
The survey was conducted on August 1-3, 1 132 people took part in it.

According to his results, the gap with Clinton is not so big, but still significant. When choosing from two candidates, the former Secretary of State is ready to support 47% of respondents, Trump support 38% of respondents.
If representatives of third parties are also included in the survey, then voters' sympathies are divided as follows: Clinton - 43%, Trump - 34%, Gary Johnson - 10%, Jill Stein - 5%.
This survey was conducted on 31 July-3 August, and 800 respondents took part in it.
Recall that polls at the end of July showed 8% candidate gap.
