Another US state recognized the Holodomor as genocide of Ukrainians
Connecticut became the 21-m American state that made that decision.
The American state of Connecticut recognized the Holodomor of 1932-1933 as genocide of the Ukrainian people, reports “Today» with reference to the Ukrainian Embassy in the USA.
“Today the state of Connecticut recognized the Holodomor in Ukraine of 1932-1933 as genocide of the Ukrainian people. The corresponding proclamation was signed by the state governor, Daniel Malloy,” the statement says.
Thus, Connecticut became the 21 state of the USA, which made such a decision.
Recall that in early October the US Senate is unanimous accepted the bipartisan resolution, which was the first in the history of the legal act of the US Congress, where the Holodomor 1932-1933 was recognized as genocide of the Ukrainian people.
In November, 2018, in the state of North Dakota, a month passes in memory of the victims of the Holodomor. The corresponding decree was signed by State Governor Doug Burgum.
