Bernie Sanders urged Americans not to vote for third party candidates
Former candidate for the US presidency from the Democratic Party, Bernie Sanders, called on Americans not to vote for a third party candidate, since this, in his opinion, could lead to disastrous consequences for the United States.
He stated this in an interview with the CBS channel.
“This moment in the history of presidential elections is not the time for protest voting. It's time to see which candidate will do the best job for the middle class and working families,” Sanders said.
He added that he did not want to demean third party candidates, but nevertheless urged voters to support Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton, who, in his opinion, offers a country development model that is more beneficial for the middle and working class than Trump.
He clarified that Clinton has a plan to reduce the rate of global warming, and Trump does not consider it a problem at all.
At the same time, third party candidates expect to benefit from a high level of protest sentiment among voters against Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump.
