Russians are offered to issue American visas in Georgia

Georgian travel company Sky travel I offered my Russian clients a design of a US visa in Tbilisi.

This was the owner of the company Revaz Uturgauri told the publication Lenta.ru.

The procedure is as follows: the travel agency contacts the US Embassy in Tbilisi, sends the client's application form there, agrees on the date of the interview and pays the consular fee.

After that, the tourist must arrive in Tbilisi by the appointed day. If a traveler has a single passport, then he will have to stay in Georgia for eight days (the period for consideration of documents for a visa). If the client of the company has a second international passport, then after the interview he can return to Russia.

“In this case, he will have to fly to Georgia again to get a passport with a ready-made visa. It should be borne in mind that the cost of his stay in Georgia for eight days will slightly exceed the costs of a double flight, ”said Uturgauri.

According to him, Sky travel There is already a positive practice on such tours.

Recall from August 23 Washington decided to suspend issuance of non-immigrant visas all around Russia. The issuance of documents will be resumed from September 1, but in a reduced volume and only in Moscow. Therefore, the embassy staff recommended Russians apply for permission to enter the US at consulates in other states. Such measures were taken in connection with the decision of the Russian authorities to reduce the number of US embassy in the Russian Federation.
