In Minnesota, his father died a hero, saving his 3-year-old son, who fell from a bridge into a lake, according to a police report. The incident occurred on Saturday, before Father's Day.
Christopher Franklin Nicholas Schulz, 32, rushed for his son, who fell from a bridge in Dead Shot Bay on Detroit Lakes on Saturday evening, the Becker County Sheriff's office reported.
Schultz struggled to keep his son above the water. Witnesses helped bring the baby to shore, but dad, who lived in nearby Freyzie, Minnesota, could not get out of the water.

He was discovered by a group of divers and fishermen around 9 hours of the evening, a man was urgently hospitalized at a hospital in Detroit Lakes, about 45 miles east of Fargo, North Dakota, where he died.
The boy received harmless injuries.
"The guy sacrificed his life to make sure his child saw another day," family friend Matthew Clark said.
