Oklahoma Governor Mary Fallin declared a state of emergency on Thursday because of a forecast in 6 inches (15,24 cm) of snow.

“Because weather conditions may include dangerous road conditions and power outages, this emergency declaration is issued in advance of the storm to allow emergency management and other partners to pre-position resources,” the statement reads. statement.
