Brooklyn resident sentenced to 15 years in prison for trafficking in underage girls
A man who trafficked people and held sex parties with underage girls in his Bedford Stevecent mansion in Brooklyn, was sentenced to 15 years in prison, according to federal prosecutor's office.
According to prosecutors, 35-year-old Brian Adams started selling girls since 2004. Among the victims of sex slavery were 12-year-old girls.
One of Adams' victims, whose name has not been released, said Adams abused her and forced her into prostitution from the age of 14. “I tried to commit suicide, if it weren’t for my children, I would have continued to try. However, I don’t want Mr. Adams to think that he broke me,” the girl said in her statement.
The Adams affair says that he used violence against some girls to force them into prostitution, and some he forced them to look for Facebook other girls and invite them to parties. Young women were forced to live with Adams in his mansion, where illegal parties took place.
The man was sentenced to 15 years of imprisonment, and also to pay a fine of $ 10 500 to one of the victims. In the Brooklyn court, Adams pleaded guilty to committing crimes.
