In Texas, unidentified persons fired at a house with an automatic rifle: 11-year-old child died

The sheriff of the Texas city of Channelview reported the death of an 11-year-old child: the boy received fatal gunshot wounds in his own bed when unknown assailants literally “pierced” his family’s home with bullets in the middle of the night. There were two more children in the room, they were not injured.

“This is truly a senseless, sad situation,” Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez said on Twitter. - This is a child. These cowards shot into the house. They could have killed and injured many more people."

The family told reporters that the boy’s name was Camren Cassius Jones.

A neighbor living across the street told the television that she had heard 22 shots in a row.

According to New York Post, the boy's family moved into the house just a few months ago. Authorities assume that previous tenants were the actual targets of the criminals.

“Prior to this, there was significant, possibly criminal, activity at the home,” the sheriff said.
