In the United States have experienced the combat vehicle of the future

Company Honeywell Aerospace tested a prototype combat transport of the XXI century, created in the framework of the program Ground X-Vehicle Technology (GXV-T) with the support of the US Department of Defense.

The car that can accommodate one pilot has no windows, the image from the outside is transmitted inside using virtual window technology - a camera system and special software, reports Daily Mail.

During the tests, the ATV was moving over rough terrain at speeds up to 56 kilometers per hour.

As part of the GXV-T project, the creation of combat vehicles is planned, the main advantage of which should be high speed and maneuverability. To do this, the creators refused armor protection, which reduced the weight of the product and allows the design of the ATV on a modular basis.

This technology has already shown interest in the US Army and Marines, suggesting that these vehicles will become combat vehicles of the 21st century.

Program Ground X-Vehicle Technology (GXV-T) looking for new technologies that will allow combat vehicles to travel on steep slopes and different types of soil.

A group of researchers became interested in the technology of wheels / tracks, which will give vehicles the opportunity to move in all types of terrain and increase their speed of movement both on the road and off-road.

The company is also looking for ways to improve situational threat detection, as well as technology that provides 360-degree visibility around the machine.

The company expects that these machines will be able to work autonomously, so they will also be equipped with technologies that will allow them to independently recognize threats and counter them.

Also, the machine will be equipped with technologies that will hide it from detection mechanisms that are most often used to identify combat vehicles.
