Southern Thanksgiving is recorded in Southern California since 1877

Thursday, 23 in November, was the hottest Thanksgiving in Southern California, and 33 degrees Celsius was in the center of Los Angeles. Considering that the registration of the temperature regime has been conducted since 1877, this year the holiday has become the hottest in the entire history, the National Meteorological Service reported.

In 1990, the temperature in 32 degrees Celsius was recorded in Los Angeles.

This year also broke the temperature record at Long Beach Airport - 32 degrees Celsius; in the airport Hollywood burbank in Burbank - 32 degrees Celsius; at UCLA – 34 Celsius; and in Woodland Hills - 35 Celsius.

In Newport Beach, Orange County, the thermometer showed 31 degrees in 13: 00, breaking the 2002 record of the year in 27 degrees.

It was the second day of record temperatures in the region. On Wednesday, downtown Los Angeles recorded 33 degrees, Long Beach -36, UCLA - 35, Woodland Hills - 33 and Oxnard - 36.

The reason for this heat lies in the high pressure of the upper level of the high ridge. Desert air from the northeast is heading for the southern Californian coast, said Joe Sirard, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service in Oxnard.
