The incident occurred at the Fairfield Entertainment Complex on Hollywood Avenue in Fairfield.

According to the police, on Thursday, June 13, around 7 hours of the evening, an 37-year-old mother was carrying her son in a wheelchair. They drove between the tennis courts and the pool, in a park near a wooded area. A passerby warned the mother that the coyote was right behind her. When the woman turned to look at the animal, it rushed straight at her.

According to the police, when the coyote bit the woman's leg, she fell and pulled the stroller behind her, which fell after her. Coyote rushed to the child, biting him by the leg, but soon returned to his mother, who stood up and began to lift the stroller to an upright position. After the animal ran into the forest.

Both victims were sent to the hospital.

The park was closed during the investigation of the incident. The New Jersey Conservation Department, the Environmental Protection Department, and the Associated Humane help police find a coyote.
