Trump canceled a meeting with Kim Jong-un: what he wrote in a letter

In a letter that President Trump sent to the North Korean leader, it says:

Dear Mr. Chairman!

We appreciate your time, patience and efforts related to our recent negotiations and discussions related to the summit, long awaited by both parties, which was scheduled for June 12 in Singapore. We were informed that the meeting was requested by North Korea, however this does not matter. I was looking forward to meeting you.

Unfortunately, given the incredible malice and open hostility shown in your last statement, I found it inappropriate at this time to hold this scheduled meeting. Because of this, let me state in this letter that the Singapore Summit, for the better for both sides, but to the detriment of peace, will not take place.

You talk about your nuclear capabilities, but ours are so massive and powerful that I pray to the Lord that they will never be used.

I felt that an excellent dialogue was being built between us, and, in the end, only dialogue matters. One day I will be ready to meet you. In the meantime, I want to thank you for the release of the hostages, who are now at home, with their families. It was a beautiful gesture, and we are very grateful.

If you change your mind about what to do with this extremely important summit, please do not hesitate to call or write me. Peace, and North Korea in particular, has lost a great opportunity to find lasting peace, tremendous wealth and wealth. This is a lost opportunity - in fact, a sad moment in history.

In the course of the hearings at the Senate International Affairs Committee on the approval of the State Department budget, US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo acquainted the legislators with a letter from President Trump Kim Jong-un.

Speaker of the House of Representatives Paul Ryan said that resolving issues related to North Korea would require more seriousness from Kim Jong-un.
