Trump requires the Senate to pass his immigration bill

President Donald Trump is putting pressure on the Senate with his message to pass a bill based on his priorities.

The President thanked Republican Senator Chuck Grassley of Iowa for introducing legislation similar to the immigration structure put forward by the White House, writes ABC News.

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell said the president "set out a fair and generous structure that is necessary for him to sign."

“There is a widespread desire in this House to find a solution for illegal immigrants who were brought to this country as children,” McConnell said. “But common sense dictates that we cannot simply look at one symptom of our broken immigration policies in isolation.”
