Trump supporters troll stars who promised to leave the country in the event of his victory
The American stars who supported the loser Hillary Clinton and who threatened to leave the country if Trump becomes president, have become the object of ridicule, writes Daily Mail.
Dozens of celebrities, such as Dunham, Miley Cyrus and Brian Cranston and many others, threatened to leave the United States if Trump became the next president of America.
But after an unexpected victory for Trump, the stars are still silent about buying tickets. Now, Trump supporters have begun to troll them on Twitter, demanding to name the date of departure.
Humorist Ricky Gervais joked that Canada began building a wall to curb the immigration of Americans after Trump's victory.
Martin Shkreli, so hated by the ex-pharmaceutical executive, even offered to pay the cost of air tickets and take on the costs of the stars for the move.
Dunham said earlier this year that if Trump wins, she will move to Vancouver.
"I know a lot of people who are threatening to do this, but I'm actually leaving," Dunham said at the Matrix Awards in April. “I know a great place in Vancouver and I can work there.”
The Americans found out the election results in 4 in the morning and immediately started asking for the stars when they were planning to leave.
“I think we can all agree that sending @lenadunham to Canada is a win for all Americans #ElectionNight,” another user tweeted.
A Dunham spokesman declined to comment on her plans.
Other users have offered their help in packing celebrity stuff.
Shortly after news of Trump's victory, Shar, who had promised to fly to Jupiter if she did so, wrote that "the world will never be the same again."
But Cher did not mention anything about the flight to Jupiter.
Canadian State Migration Service website turned Unavailable due to excessive user traffic. The media attributed this to the fact that American users began to massively visit the site on the background of news about victory Donald Trump in the presidential election
Miley Cyrus seems to have changed her attitude towards the election. After the results came in, she burst into tears following Trump's victory and posted the video on Twitter, where she wrote, “I accept you! I even accept you as President of the United States."
