The United States imposed sanctions against 12 Russian companies

The US Department of Commerce announced the introduction of sanctions against 12 Russian companies, whose actions, according to the agency, are contrary to the national interests of the United States.

Restrictive measures will take effect on September 26, after the decision is published officially.

In particular, the list included the Vector research institute, the Gamma research and production enterprise (RPE), the Cyrus Systems company and the Infotex group of companies; they are accused of facilitating Russia’s criminal activities in cyberspace.

The research and production enterprise of underwater technologies "Okeanos" and the company "Divetechnoservice" are accused of providing support to the Russian Navy and supplying military sailors with the equipment they need to carry out work that threatens communications linking the United States with Europe.

Also included in the sanctions list are Aerocomposite, Obninsk Research and Production Enterprise Technology (ONPP Technology named after A.G. Romashin), the Aviadvigatel design bureau, and the research and production corporation Precision Instrumentation Systems (JSC NPK SPP") and the Voronezh Research Institute "Vega", which also provide support to the Russian military sector.

Sanctions are also imposed against the Nilco Group, which has offices not only in Moscow, but also in Minsk and Tehran. According to the US, this organization provided material support to the Iranian missile program.

The Russian companies listed in the sanctions list close legal access to American goods and technologies. Any organization that wants to sell any products of American origin to these companies will be deprived of the license of the US Department of Commerce.

It is also prohibited to re-export and transfer such goods within Russia, that is, all companies must comply with restrictions regardless of the place of their registration and the country of dispatch of the goods, if the product they sell is of American origin.

The same document introduced sanctions against several companies in Belarus, Iran, Singapore, the United Arab Emirates and Hong Kong.
