Putin reduced salaries for himself and Medvedev

Vladimir Putin signed a decree to cut his own salary, Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev and an employee of the presidential administration. Their salaries will decrease by 10 percent.

Salaries of the staff of the presidential administration are traditionally higher than those of other officials. According to Rosstat, in 2014, employees of the presidential administration received the largest average salary - 216 thousand rubles.

The salaries of Putin and Medvedev were rising in the spring of 2014. According to the information on the assets and incomes of the head of state and employees of the presidential administration, Putin earned 2013 million rubles in 3,6 year. Medvedev's annual income amounted to 4,2 million rubles.
