South Tauride will last until November, with an average fall rate of about five meteors per hour. Thus, a full moon can interfere with meteor observations. NASA says that South Tauride will be best seen when Taurus is high in the sky.

Bright meteors fly around the sky as they decay in the upper atmosphere. South Tauride meteors travel at speeds of about 17 miles per second (27 km / s), which is slower than other meteor showers that usually occur at this time of year.

If you are not able to observe these meteors, do not worry - at the end of October, Orionid will peak, and in early November it will be possible to observe Nos-Taurid and Leonid.
