The giant hole swallowed a man on Long Island
According to authorities, in Huntington, Long Island, a huge cesspool collapsed, creating a crater in the ground. The latter buried the person alive. There were several cars in the funnel. Despite the many hours of rescue operation, which was attended by dozens of rescuers, firefighters and workers, it was not possible to save the victim.
Police reported that workers were digging a cesspool at Beach Place. At about one o'clock in the afternoon, she collapsed, leaving a gaping hole that swallowed the front yard and the upper half of the adjacent walkway.
59-year-old Edward Sinnott was dragged into a hole formed by a funnel in the ground. Another worker almost suffered the same fate, but at the time of the collapse he managed to grab an element of construction equipment, which saved his life.
At the scene were a chopper, an apparatus for sifting dirt and other debris and a device with which you can pump out the dirt from the pit.
After a few hours of the rescue operation, it became obvious that finding the Blue Note alive was no longer possible. Later, his dead body managed to get out of the dirt.
Recently, in Long Island, there have been frequent cases of people and animals falling into cesspools.
