Famous British sculptor, Indian-born Anish Kapoor will create an art object specifically for Kiev, CityArt project coordinator Geo Leros said.

“The news of the day, which I have been working on for a long time. Sculptor Anish Kapoor will create an art object for Kyiv,” Leros wrote on Facebook.

Anish Kapoor is one of the most influential sculptors of our time. Born in 1954 in Bombay, he has lived in London since the early 1970s.

In 2009, Kapoor became the first artist who, during his lifetime, presented his solo exhibition at the Royal Academy of Arts in London.

His large-scale projects include the sculpture “Cloud Gate” (2004) in Chicago’s Millennium Park, “Dismemberment Site” in the Farm Sculpture Park in New Zealand, as well as the work “Temenos” in English Middlesbrough.
