The platform for the inauguration of the new US president will cost millions of dollars

American construction company Christman Co. won a bid for the right to build a platform for the inauguration ceremony of the new US president in January 2017. The contract value is 2,95 million dollars, сообщает portal Crain's Detroit Business.
Christman Co. already built platforms on which the first black US president Barack Obama took the oath in 2009 and 2013.
Now she has to build a platform for the inauguration of the first woman president or the first billionaire president, the newspaper notes.
The right to build the platform was awarded to the firm by the Architect of the Capitol, the federal agency responsible for the maintenance and operation of the Capitol complex in Washington.
Details of the construction project are not disclosed. It is known that in 2013, the area of the inaugural platform was about 900 square meters. She was able to accommodate more than 1,6 thousands of people, including judges of the Supreme Court, previous president and vice president, and numerous members of the US Congress.
